Aston Martin select Bridgestone Tyre for new Rapide

|
Aston Martin have chosen Bridgestone as their tyre partner for their first four door sports car, the Rapide.
The Potenza S001 was proposed by Bridgestone due to the tyre's response and precision, coupled with it's wet stability. The 20" tyres on the Rapide were developed with a higher sidewall, to help eliminate vibration and offer a quieter drive.
The Bridgestone & Aston Martin brands are not strangers, their partnership started in the early 1990's with the DB7 and since then the Potenza RE050 tyres have been factory fitted on DB9 and V8 Vantage models.
The new S001 has been developed exclusively for the world's most powerful sports cars. The innovative asymmetric design features stiff "high grip" shoulder blocks enhanced by a lightweight active insert in the bead area, delivering quick-fire response and precise handling. The tyre also has a lighter belt construction and lower rolling resistance than previous Potenza generations, helping to increase fuel efficiency.
